The theory of this building are continuous, flowing buildings. Thus, I created the architectures have a curved, floating shape that provided the passageway around the shape for students and teachers to have a meeting area and connected with two buildings. Moving Elements Moving Element 1 - Movable Blinds The multi-layer system of the glass curtain wall makes 4 different forms for different lighting requirements. The basic cavity could have different films to display varied pattern. Moving Element 2 - Movable Roof The roof of the library have two layers. Due to the strong sunlight in Sydney, only partial rooftop is able to be exposed to sunlight. The roof could open during nighttime to watch the starry night. And the second layers can store the solar heat energy during the daylight time and release the energy during the night.
